Product and Services

The Product and services in Simple Bookin serves as a comprehensive module for creating and managing your products and services. This guide provides a detailed overview of how to utilize this feature effectively.

Sales or purchase of Product or services are the only ways in Simple Bookin that is use to calculate profit or loss in your Business. This means for any transaction that brings in profit must be recorded first like a product or services before creating a sales invoice or purchase order.

Creating, Edit and Delete Product Units

 Product unit is the measurement tool used to measure you products. For example Pieces, Kg, Meter, Centimeter. Etc. To create product units

  • Go to dashboard
  • Click on product and services, from the drop-down menu click product unit
  • Click on Add New, type in the product unit name and click Create Unit.
  • To edit or delete product unit, click on the Action button

Creating Product and Services

  • Go to dashboard
  • Click on product and services, from the drop-down menu click product and services
  • Click on Add New
  • On the next page, fill out the form and click save
  1. Name: Name of the product or services you want to sell
  2. Type: Choose if it’s a product or a service you want to register
  3. Product Unit: Select the product unit from the once that have been registered or create a new one (note; this is suitable for products only not services)
  4. Allow for Selling: Choose YES if you are selling the product and NO if you are not selling it ( This will allow you to prepare sales invoice and set selling price depending on the option you choose)
  5. Allow For Purchase: Choose YES if the products or services will be purchase and NO if the product or services will not be purchase. (This will allow you to prepare purchase order and also set purchase cost depending on the option you choose)
  6. Selling Price: If you choose to allow selling option for the product or services, you will be able to set the selling price.
  7. Income Category: If product or services is allowed for selling, you can then set income categories. Income category is a category of all items or activities that brings in income or money in to the business
  8. Purchase Cost: If you choose to allow purchase option for the product or services, you will be able to set the purchase cost.
  9. Expense Category: If product or services is allowed for purchasing, you can then set expense categories. Expense category is a category of all activities that business spend morning on.
  10. Image: Here you can upload the image of the products or services
  11. Description: Here you can enter the product or services details
  12. Status: You can make product or services active or disable. (If you disable product or services, it can be sold or purchased.
  13. Stock Management: This only work with product. This option enable the system to manage you stock automatically. (note: it recommended to always select YES if you sell products)
  14. Initial Stock: This only work with product. Here you can enter the beginning stock available from the date you start using Simple Bookin system. (Note: please enter the correct stock for you will not be able to edit it after product is created.

Editing, View and Delete Product and Services

  • Go to dashboard
  • Click on product and services, from the drop-down menu click product and services
  • Locate the product or services you want to edit, view or delete. After locating the product or services, click on the Action button corresponding to it. From the drop-down list, click on what you want to do with the product or services. You can either edit, view or delete.
